Still not feeling 100%, sore throat, cough, temperature, thankfully not covid. Still took a good couple of hours to start feeling anywhere near human! Spent the rest of the weekend in bed and on the sofa. I don’t remember walking back to the car? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Had some fluids and food then a shower. Never felt so ill whilst running 😞 managed to do 4 laps so half marathon and had to stop. I continued to lap 4 but struggled, had to walk most of it. It was getting hotter and hotter and there was no breeze and hardly any shade.

I started the day optimistic, had a 3 hour drive to get there and it was hot before we even started🥵 Needed to do 8 laps to get a marathon in and the first 2 laps seemed fine. It was a lapped race so I could do as many or as few laps as I wanted. Friday I attempted a race, it’s taken until now to put this up as I’ve been feeling so rubbish.! Injuring my ankle a few weeks ago I didn’t think I’d get to do the run but ankle and foot felt good going into it.
